Southern Sod Services, LLC is a family owned and operated company that has been providing quality sod to homeowners, builders, landscapers, and business owners since 1999. The Holcomb family has been involved in Florida Agriculture for generations, and are dedicated to the industry and the quality of their product. The fields can be seen from the farm office windows, and are strictly maintained to assure you a level of excellence that is uncompromising. The sod is cut fresh daily in fields that were chosen specifically for our crop to easily transition from our farm to your yard. The base is sand, which will allow your new lawn to acclimate to your own sand based Florida yard without a fuss. Our fields also have a nearly perfect amount of organic material to aid in growing healthy turf. We as a company strive to stay abreast of all of the new technological advances in the turf grass industry, and implement these techniques and strategies into our business, which in turn grows even better sod for your lawn. Southern Sod Services works closely with the University of Florida in evaluating new varieties and ranking future research projects on a priority basis. We hope that our current body of knowledge and all of the future information that we learn through research will be passed on to our customers in the Sod Articles section of this website.
